Children in Worship

At First-Trinity, we know that we are all called to worship God, and that includes children.  Children are always welcome to join us in the sanctuary.  Children 4 years old and younger can attend our nursery during worship.  For more information about our nursery, please see the Nursery page.

To include children in our worship service, “Worship Bags’ are provided in the Narthex.  These bags include crayons, coloring/activity sheets, etc.  The bags and crayons are to be returned to the basket in the Narthex at the end of the service.  We also have a “Time With the Young Disciples” during the service.  At that time, children are invited to join our Director of Christian Education, Jessica Lewis, at the front of the sanctuary for a time of learning, sharing, and prayer.  Toddlers and preschoolers in the nursery will be brought upstairs for this part of the service and taken back to the nursery following “Time With the Young Disciples.”

Our youth and children also serve as Junior and Senior Acolytes during our worship services.  The Acolyte schedule and additional information can be found on the Acolyte page.

If you have any questions about children in worship, please feel free to contact our Director of Christian Education through the Contact Us page or by calling the church office at (601)428-8491.
